Abstract

This is the 1st in a series of 4 continuing education events presented by 360 Behavioral Horizons. The series is designed to equip BCBAs with the knowledge and skill set to make and defend clinical recommendations, design treatment and discharge goals, and plan for transition of service intensity and focus throughout the treatment life cycle of ABA services for individuals with ASD. The series is progressive through the treatment design process, but previous trainings are not prerequisites for attendance.

Objectives

1. Participants will define medical necessity.
2. Participants will understand medical necessity as it pertains to the ASD diagnosis.
3. Participants will be prepared to demonstrate medical necessity in a treatment plan.
