Abstract

This is the 2nd in a series of 4 continuing education events presented by 360 Behavioral Horizons. The series is designed to equip BCBAs with the knowledge and skillset to make and defend clinical recommendations, design treatment and discharge goals, and plan for transition of service intensity and focus throughout the treatment lifecycle of ABA services for individuals with ASD. The series is progressive through the treatment design process, but previous trainings are not prerequisites for attendance.

Objectives

1. Participants will be prepared to identify written goals that do not readily reflect medical necessity criteria or deficits of the ASD diagnosis.
2. Participants will be prepared to write goals that reflect medically necessary criteria and address the deficits of the ASD diagnosis.
3. Participants will connect medically necessary criteria to case examples and treatment plan based on direct/indirect assessments and caregiver reports.
